An affiliate of South Korea"s Posco, the world"s third-largest steelmaker, said it"s in talks about a contract to build a railway line in Nigeria.
“Nothing has been decided,” Woo Ho Jae, a spokesman at Posco Engineering & Construction Co., the unlisted construction unit of Pohang, South Korea-based Posco, said by phone today. “We haven"t won the contract yet.”
Woo wouldn"t confirm a report in Korea"s Dong-a Ilbo newspaper that thepuorgis worth $10 billion, and would be the largest any South Korean company has won.
